Graded/Exercise Activity
Graded exercise training consist of individually tailored exercises that target specific weak and dysfunctional muscles. Graded exercises are progressive to increase strength or endurance and address specific work activities or functional activities of daily living. Back Trainer Institute uses various exercise equipment designed for incremental increases in exercise dosage.

One of Dr. Knudsen favorite back exercise is roman chair back hyperextension.  We use the medic back trainer by Kettler and unload the patient's upper body weight with the lat pull down machine.  This machine allows a patient to go through lumbar ROM safely and effectively while training for endurance.
